View the names of property owners who have escaped paying taxes for eight years or longer. The list also includes addresses of the delinquent properties.

The Mecklenburg tax collector's office compiled the report, which details $6.6 million in uncollected taxes, after complaints that bills were going unpaid for years.
The total reflects only a small percentage of the more than $1.3 billion the county collects annually. But some city and county officials say tax collectors should more vigorously try to collect the money.
The report shows 1,299 properties and more than 1,000 names of owners.

How many Obama cabinet members on the list?
Reid Park Assoc. is City West CDC now, correct? I thought City West paid its back taxes at the first of the year. Then why is the county still owed a bazillion $$ by Reid Park?
Oh, and how did NationsBank get away without paying the $4K it owes? BofA ain't THAT broke......
Sorry folks, I am unemployed and have no money to pay my "taxes" on my property; the property that was taxed upon purchase already. In addition, why should we pay on arbitrary valuations only to wait until we are reimbursed upon appeal? How does that policy serve the people?
I think that the commissioners should compliment the tax collecting department. I did the math, and at $6.6MM total outstanding of $1.3B per year in billings, the % not collected is
.06%, e.g. they are collecting 99.94% of the billings. There isn't a bank or business in the country that wouldn't love that collection rate over the past eight years.
Why must everything be about Obama? This is about slack Charlotte Mecklenburg citizens. Get a life...
The local tax office pretends everything is hunky dory when home sales are the worst in history and property values have dropped 50% across the board in the whole area.
When will taxes drop instead of valuations rising?
Liberal Obama is most grateful for big spender wasteful liberal Bush and his liberal GOP. Without Bush and the GOP he wouldnt be president and is following in Bushs footsteps on spending and wars.
Nothing has changed. Liberals begat liberals although the 20 million illegals Bush brought in should never be made citizens to keep the mulatto messsiah in office as he plans.
On page 64 we see that DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION is delinquent. There are also lots of churches and other organizations delinquent. It is not just the citizens!
This is a list of herores who dare to challenge the greedy,omnipotent state and their insistence on forcibly confiscating private property from their rightful owners.
