Obama's statement on Arizona shooting

President Barack Obama's statement about the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., in Tucson today:
This morning, in an unspeakable tragedy, a number of Americans were shot in Tucson, Arizona, at a constituent meeting with Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. And while we are continuing to receive information, we know that some have passed away, and that Representative Giffords is gravely wounded.

We do not yet have all the answers. What we do know is that such a senseless and terrible act of violence has no place in a free society. I ask all Americans to join me and Michelle in keeping Representative Giffords, the victims of this tragedy, and their families in our prayers.

"If they bring a knife to a fight, we bring a gun." - Barack Hussein Obama, Philadelphia, June 13 2008

Grandstanding making political pts saying nothing about 14 more headless bodies and 27 deaths yesterday just over the border that could have sparked the rampage since AZ is on the front line of the immigration problem and Mexican drug war and the congresswoman is pro-immigration.

No sympathy or leniency. No lib law to spare him.
Death for this killer.

Shooter was a leftist independent. Killed was a conservative Bush appointed Federal judge the media in conveniently ommitting.

Several comments from our President over the last couple of years:

Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”

Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”

Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”

Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”

Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose azz to kick.“

Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”

Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.”

Obama to Latino supporters: “Punish your enemies.”

Obama to democrats: “I’m itching for a fight.”

Hopefully he and the rest of America will choose their words more carefully. I know I have been!

"TheQueenCity"...nice to handpick Obama out. Plenty of blame to pass around when it comes to violent rhethoric...look in the mirror Limbaugh, Palin, Beck, O`Reilly, Tea Party members all...
it needs to lighten up.. If you can`t express an opinion without fear of your life than we are neanderthals all of us.

Read this elsewhere and the bizarre phrase "Mercenary Army" nagged at me until I finally spent some time tracking down its origin. This is a headline created by Pat Dollard for his blog and posted over a story from Politico. His blog has the motto "The War Starts Here" and a photo of a young man dressed in military gear in front of the flag.

The "Army" to which he is apparently referring is six Democratic Senators who met with the President and his staff in 2009 regarding the upcoming campaign. The statement in question referred to campaign ads, the precise words were actually (as quoted in the body of the text from Politico) "If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard", and the speaker wasn't the President himself but rather his deputy chief of staff Jim Messina.

I find this fascinating. The list is ALL OVER the web, it has been cut and pasted repeatedly into the comments under just about every story even tangentially about the shooting or the aftermath, and this particular line is wrong in every single detail -- wrong words, wrong speaker, no money and no military. If I had the time I would vet the rest of the quotes, but I've got to say, based on the total and complete inaccuracy of this one, the whole thing is probably junk.

Hypocritical libs are in shock at how their beloved messiah is being treated yet its OK to trash opponents. Such ignorance plus nobody with half a brain buys that race card bull*hit anymore if they ever did.

Cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen but clearly Palin is starting to worry the hell out of libs and their media rats. Obama is such a 2 faced snake with his negative comments.
