He's not the only one.....he's just the one being called out. The sad part is the follower's who continue to support his lavish lifestyle. Are they seeking salvation or are they looking to please "Man"?

He was mistaken in thinking he would get away with not paying the tax.

As for his lavish lifestyle, "judge not lest you be judged."

If this is true, its a shame. My prayers go out to the Jinwright's at this time. I hope they are able to resolve this issue, because I like so many others have witnessed the good doings of Pastor Jinwright and Salem Baptist Church in the Charlotte Community.

Personally I don't think we should judge a pastors salary especially when we don't see anything wrong with celebrities, politicians, and sports athletes astronomical salaries.

Sorry your Holiness, but you are no better then me. Unfortunatley in a society that always raises people of the cloth to be God-Like this stuff happens. You would have thought with all the mess in the Catholic Church people would have figured it out. "Guess What - Jesus was POOR". The last place I would go is to any Church that is milking off the parishners and of course has his own private jet.

I AGREE with the one your calling YOUR HOLINESS, we always wanting to criticize and be all up in the preacher's business, but when it comes to our ENTERTAINERS it's okay if they leave lavish but if a man of God lives lavish theirs a problem. Doesn't the RIGHTEOUS suppose to be prosperous in every area of their life.

If Jinwright is guilty he needs to face the CONSEQUENCES, but you have alot of BITTER people HATING on preachers and the body because their UNHAPPY with their life and want a excuse to keep sinning and worrying about the way other people live their lives.

PRAY FOR THE FALLEN TO LEARN
ALL THE BITTERNESS IS UNNESSARY

I think i tis important to point out taht his crime is Tax Evasion, not theft which means the congregation knowing and willingly paid him this hefty salary and perks. Other ministers seem to be pushing away but here is a thought for a story. How much money are the ministers from Calvery Baptist, Hickory Grove Baptist, Northside Baptist, University park Baptist, Friendship Baptist, and St Paul Baptist making? I think the public would find out that Jinwright is not the only one living a lavish lifestyle.

I truly believe that Pastors should get paid because they are technically on call 24/7. However what Jinwright was getting that is just WRONG!

I think we must remember that we should not convict this Pastor before he goes to trial. If he is quilty then justice should be served. We all fall short of the glory of God. Let's not laugh or find humor in his demises. Pray for this family and ask that God's will be done. The said part is that the people of God struggle and the leader are usually blessed. I think that as the leaders are blessed we should see evidence in the followers also. I am not from this area, but it seems like the congregation is large enough to have professional people that could have advise him about taxes and other responsibilities but all this happend. We must understand that the word of God is good, but churches have a been component and it shall be ran accordingly, with check and balances.
Much pray, blk chocolate

This is not about preacher/entertainers "living lavish" or his salary, you ignorant sheep.

THIS IS ABOUT TAX EVASION.

He LIED about his income to avoid paying taxes.

Making the tax bill higher for other people...

So he also STOLE.

To paraphrase P.T. Barnum:

"There is a sucker born-again every minute"...

So don't be surprised when you be da sucka...

Pastor Jinwright is a man, put your trust in God not man. I have some old video of Pastor Jinwright not one time he said put your trust in him. Why are we always trying to hurt Gods people. I think if Jesus was here people would try to hang him out to dry if they thought he was doing wrong. Where is the forgiveness!!! My god is a forgiving God and if we take a look around our on doorstep I will bet you will find you need to do some cleaning yourself. If he did do it or not my prayer is with him and his family. Keep Your Head UP Pastor Jinwright Keep your Head UP!!!
